What We Do

In our pursuit of a brighter future, we are committed to fostering hope through Jesus Christ and building a restored community, rather than relying on drugs or other substances to cope with displacement caused by rejection, lack of love, or hopelessness.

Our Focus

We hope that we can inspire, motivate and help others make good decisions.

HOUSING

What Everyone Should Expect

From Restoring Hope (AHOR)

  • Background checks:: to keep our residence safe and Restoring Hope knowledgeable of who is coming onto our campus/residence, we will do these background checks before becoming residents at Restoring Hope (AHOR)

  • Drug testing: when accepted into the residency, to ensure everyone is serious about being restored to the community. This becomes a vital part of our program for the individual and the entire residency. Random testing could be done at staff discretion, depending on the individual circumstances.

  • Counseling/Social Assistance: for individual goals and needs (on or off campus/residence). Upon entry, we will evaluate what kind of services are needed.

  • Physical examination: (on or off campus/residence) For a happier, healthier you. Upon entry, we will try to get each resident an appointment for a physical and assist in getting them to and from these appointments. Whether through a campus Physician, Health Department, or their current insurance, the body is critical to maintain a good life and hold a position at a place of employment.

  • Assigned living quarters: (whether a room or an apartment, depending on the facility and location). Upon entry, we desire to establish an adequate living space to meet the needs of each individual and family.

  • Assigned duties: everyone will have a grounds assignment for residence, no matter how great or small a task. From the lobby to each commonly used space made available to all residents, everyone will be responsible for keeping the grounds clean as a part of the program.

  • Chapel: required bible class/study and one weekly in an established church service is needed to build faith and community (in chapel on or off campus, our choice is Dwelling Place Church International.)

  • Educational classes: depending on the profession or job placement, courses for education may be required or necessary, and we will offer space with computers available for those studies.

  • Transportation: is a necessity to get to work. Here, we will provide transportation through a house-registered vehicle or a vehicle through donation for licensed drivers who have met the requirements.

  • Permanent housing: This is the ultimate goal in being established back to the community. To have an apartment or house for an individual or family where life happens, and memories are created with hope and a future.
